LUCENA CITY — A Philippine Army soldier was shot and killed on Thursday, Dec. 26, by a still-unidentified gunman in San Mateo town in Rizal province.
In a report Friday, the Region 4A police said the body of Corporal Christian Tapia, 30, was found lying along Timberland Avenue in Barangay Malanday around 10 a.m.
Police said a security guard heard a gunshot and when he conducted a search, he found the victim dead with a bullet wound in his head.
